Our Host, Gabor provided airport transfers, which made our check-in and check-out seamless and incredibly convenient; very thoughtful and professional touch!
There is easy access by using the elevator to the beautifully renovated apartment exactly as pictured and described. It is comfortable and cozy because of the amenities which provide a modern feel in a classic architecture setting. The major highlight is the balcony which provided picturesque views of the local area and beyond.

“Gabor’s place was a great home base for Budapest sightseeing! Metro lines, busses, trams, and hop-on/off buses stop within a block or two. Many sightseeing spots–e.g., St. Stephen’s Basilca, Liberty Square, the National Museum, the Opera, and ruin bars (Szimpla Kert)– are an easy walk or short tram ride away.
The balcony overlooking the Budapest Eye (Ferris wheel) and Erzsebet Ter’s park provides hours of entertainment, if you grow tired of sightseeing. Downstairs is a pastry shop, and a short distance away are grocery stores and countless eateries and bars.
The apartment is well-furnished, with excellent shower and tub/shower bathrooms that provide hot water and good water pressure, great air conditioning, and a well- supplied kitchen.
The host responded rapidly and helpfully to our requests/questions re transportation, where to eat, when to check in, etc. Bravo, Gabor–we highly recommend this place!”

“Our family just got back from our weeklong stay at Gabor’s home. This was our second visit to Budapest, and we were very particular on what we wanted this time. It is centrally located and within steps of a subway station that serve three of the major lines (M1, M2, and M3). It is also across the street from the bus stop for the 100E express bus to the airport. You will not find a better location that gives quick access to all of the city attractions. The home is spotless, and Gabor is one of the most responsive and polite hosts we’ve ever worked with. The building has an elevator and there is air conditioning which is not all that common for apartments in Budapest. Make sure you know that when comparing this to other options. Perhaps the best feature was the outdoor balcony. Our family spent hours outside, enjoying the view. Thank you, Gabor for a memorable family vacation!”

היינו משפחה with 3 ילדים שנהנו בדירה והרגישו כמו בבית.

“The location is AMAZING. Right next to great restaurants, historic sites, and nightlife. The apartment has a rare amenity for central Budapest… a private balcony with a panoramic view including Buda Castle and Saint Stephen’s Basilica. The decor is a fantastic mix of modern hip and Soviet block chic (yes.. there are even 2 red rotary dial phones !!!).
Gabor was a phenomenal host. He was friendly, incredibly responsive to our every need, and went above and beyond when we had a minor repair issue. We would highly recommend staying at this gem of an apartment in the heart of the city.”

The best part: THE BALCONY!! I felt like a queen overlooking my realm! The whole city is at your disposal from this excellent lookout. Deák Ter is right out the front door, and Andrássy Út is around the corner. I could’ve lived here forever! We have a family of 5 and there was ample room for all of us. “If you’re traveling to Budapest, stay here! This apartment is in the perfect location, central to everything. Most things are walkable or very close to Public transport spots. Even the airport shuttle bus!
The apartment was perfect! Exactly what we needed. Everything was clean. And the views from the terrace were amazing.
Lastly, our host Gabor was incredible! He offered to pick us up from the train station which was a huge help! On the drive to the apartment he suggested many places to go and parts of town to see. It was extremely helpful! And he was so kind!
I highly recommend this Airbnb and will definitely stay here anytime I visit Budapest in the future :)”

Apartment has a very large balcony overlooking the Ferris wheel, park, ritz Carlton, cathedrals, etc. Building is old but the elevator is fast, 6th floor (5th locally as 1st floor there is 0). Once you’re in the apartment, it’s in excellent condition. All as is described. The main bedroom is in a separate area from the other two bedrooms so these some privacy for the parents, which also leads to balcony. Host was responsive and personally showed us in and took me to a parking lot to set up a 4 day pass. Good value.”

“Gabor was so responsive and helpful with our request of a last minute change to arrive a day earlier & he had offered an early checkin due to flight arrival time. He collected us both directions to/from the airport in a van that comfortably fit all 5 of us plus our bags (could seat 7 plus driver)..
walked through clearly how to enter/exit the property with us, it was straight forward enough.
Apartment could not have had a better location, multiple Christmas markets all in walking distance, supermarket within 100m , river only a couple of blocks away and huge bonus – the balcony overlooked the Ferris wheel & Christmas market which meant even once home we enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
Close to the hop on hop off bus stop which easily took us to Hero’s Square for a fun afternoon of ice skating!
Super comfortable beds in all rooms (even my kids agreed) and central heating through the building perfect temp too.

“Gabor’s apartment is perfectly located! It was a 4 minute walk to St. Stephen’s cathedral. We had a food tour and it started a 4 minute walk away in the other direction. Two different metro lines are a minute away. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk. And the view out of the balcony is spectacular!

Responsive and helpful host (he picked us up from our Danube River cruise at 10am and stored our luggage until the apartment was cleaned. Never had an Airbnb host drive us!)
Cons:
Only one fixed, overhead shower. The other bathroom has a hand-held sprayer which is tough for this American.
There isn’t an en-suite bathroom (not that big of a deal)”

“Pros: Very close to all amenities. Really close to Catherdral. Apartment is spacious. The security gate outside makes you feel safer. Thankfully because building is lacking.
Decently clean rooms, but not pristine nor were floors washed recently. The host is very helpful. Really responsive. Seems like really nice guy.
Cons: Building is old communist era building that is really run down. Feels quite unsafe as a building in general but thankfully the keyed metal gate right outside the apartment is a nice feature.”

“A gorgeous view of the square, city and distant monuments and decent patio! All we had to explore was within 5-20 mins journey, from food to exoloring the rich culture and heritage the city has to offer! The beds sleep 6 comfortably, probably 2 more if you utilize the couch bed. Small kitchenette and decently sized dining table. Place was clean and had character and felt rustic.
I recommend Langos Papi, Belvárosi Disznótoros, Pzimla (The ruin bars) and the entire neighborhood that is behind the building direction, there is much to find there alone for bustling night life! A must visit for the adventurous of heart is The Labyrinth and the Baths!
Gabor is a wonderful host who made us feel right at home with the flexibility of offering to pick us up and keeping in communication.
We had fortunately been able to reach the location ourselves the easy access of a self check-in process made us feel as if we were visiting our own home away from home! We appreciate his genority!

“We booked this property for New Year with a group of friends. It’s very central to everything, with the 100E airport shuttle dropping us very close to the property and Gabor was really helpful guiding us into the property (user error with the key on our part).
The apartment was very welcoming, warm and had plenty of towels and utensils to cater for a party of 8. The views from the balcony gives you a great panaromaic view of the city plus it was a great spot for the NYE celebrations with close up views of the fireworks.
Any questions we had, Gabor responded straight away and was really helpful throughout our stay there.

“Gabor’s penthouse is in a prime location – walkable to many sights and very close to the central Deak Ferenc metro transfer station. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after a day of sightseeing and viewing the city lights. There were a few late nights of loud music in the park across the street, but the sound was greatly muffled with the balcony doors closed. The two interior bedrooms were very quiet.
Gabor was an amazing host. He responded immediately when we had a small emergency and we were able to continue our vacation seamlessly. We arranged all our airport pickups and drop off directly with Gabor. He made our trip to Budapest so carefree and easy!”

The laundry machine is just a washer, not a combo unit. We were confused because other Airbnb’s we stayed in around Europe often have the combo machines. Kitchen is really well equipped, you’ll have everything you need. The owner was very polite and nice. He also arranged us a pick up from the airport. We had a small problem in the house and he was also very quick and concerned in solving the problem. We came in as a group of 7 friends, we had a lot of place to sleep, a very clean apartment, lots of supplies like shampoo, towels, toilet paper.
The location was great, we didn’t had more then a 1 km walk to each place, absolutely amazing.
The kitchen was comfortable and had all you need to cook full meals.
The check in and out was easy and well explained.

“LOCATION! Gabor’s apartment is central to everything. We never used a taxi the entire time we were in Budapest, because it was easy to walk to all the key cites, from the thermal baths to the parliament to the castle to restaurants. We had the pure delight of spending New Year’s Eve in this lovely apartment and watching the fireworks from our spacious balcony — an event we will never forget. My kids and mother in law can’t stop raving about this place, and neither can my husband or I. We would definitely rent again if we return to Budapest.”
